You know, the area of Natural Park of Cap de Creus is well known as the most windy area in Katalonien, the predominant wind direction is N-S and the wind is called Tramuntana. In very windy days it can reach 80 km/h or more. This is the main reason because in summertime, when the humidity of air drops to less than 30%, the risk of accidental fire increases dangerously and therefore the different access to the park are closed in order to prevent any possible fire (cigarettes, bbq, etc).
