The municipality of Laguna de Perlas owes its name to the large lagoon that presides over it, the largest in Nicaragua. A place with a great natural and cultural attraction thanks to its mangroves, the paradisiacal islets Cayos Perlas of white sand and turquoise waters of the Caribbean, the nearby Natural Reserve of Wawashang and the possibility of visiting the villages of the: Mestizo, Creole, Miskito and Garifuna.<\/p>
To visit this beautiful and wild region it is necessary to fly from Spain to the Nicaraguan capital. Once in Managua we can choose to travel the 310km. by road to Laguna de Perlas or take another cheap flight to Bluefields, an important southern city located 40km. from our destination.<\/p>
