You can get to Ans\u00f3 from the village of Hecho, thirteen kilometres away, or if you feel like it, you can walk through the protected landscape of the Bini\u00e9s gorge.<\/strong> along the local A-1602 road. The expression \"foz\" is Aragonese, it is identified with the Castilian \"hoz\", and that is what you will find, a gorge that runs parallel to the river Veral, with an impressive gorge that stretches for three kilometres. And if the colour of the water in the Pyrenees has not yet caught your attention, it is sure to do so here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ans\u00f3 is a mountain village with wonderful panoramic views at the entrance to the village -from the Civil Guard barracks- and from the road that leads to Fago.<\/strong>. We recommend that you take a stroll through its narrow stone streets, and take a look at the details of the houses, their small doors, their attic windows, and their large chimneys and roofs. And the fact is that its urban centre constitutes an Asset of Cultural Interest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leaving Ans\u00f3 you will come to the road that takes you to the Zuriza Valley. The distance to Zuriza is twelve kilometres, it is a flat road that follows the Veral river.<\/strong>The route is almost inevitable, after all, you are in the heart of the Pyrenees. In Zuriza there is a campsite with camping area, bungalows and hostel, located in an old military building from the 19th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From there you have many routes that we will be telling you about, two of which we will give you a sneak preview. If you want to go into a beech forest, under the crests of the Alano-Espelunga cirque, you can do it by the route that goes to the bridge of the nursery.<\/strong>. This is a medium-difficulty route of six kilometres and is signposted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if you feel like getting closer to the high mountains, you can reach the Achar de Alano. This is a more demanding route, in its final stretch you will have to overcome a 650 m difference in height. You will see the Tacheras track indicated, and you can go by car to the end of it. From there you can follow the track, or take the shortcuts marked with stone mounds (cairns), until you reach the area where there are no more tree species. From there there is an ascending path that takes you to the base of Achar de Alano (2,099 m) and the alpine pastures of Pe\u00f1a Forca.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continuing along the road and leaving Zuriza behind, you reach the Linza resort, where you will find a refuge and a wonderful resort for Nordic skiing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Returning to Ans\u00f3, you can take the opportunity to visit Fago, seven kilometres away, which is not only one of the westernmost villages in the Aragonese Pyrenees but also one of the smallest, with twenty-nine inhabitants registered in 2012. Fago seems to be hiding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we started this excursion by visiting the Foz de Bini\u00e9s, we can finish it in the same way, with a trip to the beautiful Foz de Fago.<\/strong>The deep gorge of limestone and sandstone walls, where canyoning can be practised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
