Alpinism, solidarity and renewable energy are the key to this story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The film begins with the ascent of Manaslu (Nepal), which will become the first to use solar panels as the only source of energy. This will give rise, with the help of the EKI Foundation, to a solidarity adventure that will bring light to a school in Diamer (Pakistan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Teaser ANWAR (FULL OF LIGHT) with Alex Txikon. Pakistan\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gPzbOCiy-5c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Shot in Nepal, Sierra Leone and Pakistan,<em>&nbsp;ANWAR (Full of light)&nbsp;<\/em>immerses us in Txikon's winter expedition to Manaslu (Nepal). It is the first non-polluting ascent, powered by solar panels. With this sustainable system, which reduces the energy footprint in accordance with the Paris Agreements, he begins a work of solidarity with the EKI Foundation.  Alex is going to learn about the work developed by the Foundation in Sierra Leone, where they provide solar energy systems that allow energy autonomy in schools and hospitals. Txikon proposes to replicate this idea in a very special school in the Diamer Valley, in Pakistan, the G\u00fcnter Mountain School, uniting two different but at the same time equal cultures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the words of the protagonist,<em>&nbsp;\"This is a project born of good work in which I want to highlight the difficulty of filming in the midst of a pandemic, the importance of humanitarian values and the belief that it will be able to make viewers empathise and reflect on the difference in opportunities\".<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Teaser ANWAR (FULL OF LIGHT) with Alex Txikon. It is a journey through intertwined paths, schools that are twinned, friends who stay along the way, cultural exchange, people who decide to leave their homes because they think that something can change and that another world is possible\".<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Written and directed by Rosa Garc\u00eda Loire (executive producer of the documentary film&nbsp;<em>El Drogas<\/em>) and produced by 601 Producciones Audiovisuales, S.L. (<em>Ockham's Razor, Ainarak<\/em>),&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>ANWAR (Full of light)<\/em>The 80-minute film features cinematography by Ignacio Maquirriain and Ra\u00fal de la Fuente (Goya Awards for Best Documentary Short for<em>&nbsp;Minerite&nbsp;<\/em>in 2014, and for Best Animated Feature Film for<em>&nbsp;One more day alive&nbsp;<\/em>in 2019). Miguel Hualde is the sound designer. The music and graphic design are by Audionetwork and Welldone, respectively. The editing is by Natxo Leuza (director and producer of&nbsp;<em>El Drogas<\/em>). Ignacio Gal\u00edndez is in charge of production management, and Juan San Mart\u00edn is in charge of executive production. The film is supported by the EKI Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The documentary film&nbsp;<em>ANWAR (Full of light)<\/em>starring the renowned Biscayan mountaineer Alex Txikon, will be shown for the first time in the world on<strong>&nbsp;Saturday 2 April in Bilbao<\/strong>. The preview of this story of mountaineering, solidarity and renewable energy has been scheduled for a session in the Auditorium of the Euskalduna Palace at 19:30.
