A route in which we will follow in the footsteps of the pilgrims on the Way of St. James, starting from the monastery of Montserrat. In a shady environment dominated by the holm oak forest, we will walk along the \"cam\u00ed dels Degotalls<\/strong>\". In Catalan, \"degotalls\" refers to the dripping or seepage of water through the rock, which abound along the path. We will enjoy the views until we get to the \"bauma dels Degotalls<\/strong>\"from where we will return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A short, flat round trip that allows us to contemplate artistic monuments with Marian dedications, ornamental trees, forest fauna... All in a shady environment with interesting views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Distance:<\/strong> 1.3 km (one way). <\/p>\n\n\n\n Cumulative difference in altitude:<\/strong> inappreciable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Water: <\/strong>Enclosure of the monastery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Duration: <\/strong>20 to 35 minutes (one way).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Difficulty:<\/strong> None.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Suggestions: <\/strong>You can combine the tour with a visit to the monastery of Montserrat or with this proposal: The \"Creu de Sant Miquel\" from the monastery of Montserrat.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Recommended equipment for the summer: <\/strong>Comfortable clothes, water and some food, sun protection and a walking stick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The starting point of this tour is the Montserrat Monastery<\/strong><\/a>which can be accessed in different ways:<\/p>\n -\u00a0By car<\/strong>\u00a0by road from Monistrol (9 kms) or from El Bruc (14kms). In total, 60 kms from Barcelona. The parking<\/a><\/strong>The campsite, which runs parallel to the BP - 1121 access road to the monastery, fills up very easily on public holidays. Price: 6,50\u20ac\/day.<\/p>\n - In the \"aeri<\/a><\/strong>\"This \"aeri\" is an aerial cabin or basket that takes five minutes and costs \u20ac8.6 one way and \u20ac13 return (adult). There are two ways to get there, by car or by FGC, and get off at the \"Aeri de Montserrat\" stop.<\/p>\n - In the Zip<\/a>:<\/strong> This train takes 15 minutes. Price: \u20ac8.1 one way and \u20ac13.50 return (adult). The rack railway stop can be reached by the FGC, at the stop at Monistrol de Montserra<\/a><\/strong>t or by car, leaving it at the parking <\/a><\/strong>free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n (0h00min; 0,0 km) Montserra Monastery<\/strong>t (724 m)<\/strong>. It starts at the so-called curve of the Apostles. It runs parallel to the road, but higher than it. During the whole route we will walk through a shady environment surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. The holm oak grove with viburnum, boxwood or durillo will accompany us on our walk. We will also find cypress and yew trees with fountains and benches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n At the beginning of the itinerary there is a bronze statue and a plaque commemorating the Virolai. The Virolai is a poetic composition that is more than a century old and is sung by the children of the Escolania de Montserrat choir at the monastery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The first section of the route is known as the \"artists\" section.
