Now, the <strong>BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour<\/strong> is coming to Vielha with a careful selection of renowned screenings, as well as talks, workshops and interpretative outings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open fire on<strong> thursday 28th march<\/strong> at the Bibliot\u00e8ca Generau de Vielha the participative workshop <strong>\"And you, how much do you know about snow and avalanches?\" <\/strong>conducted by ACNA. On the same site is already available and until Sunday the photo exhibition <strong>Rowaling<\/strong>by Arkaitz Saiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The action continues on Friday 29th in <strong>Cinema Era Audiovisuau<\/strong> with an informative talk on avalanches and the star conference of the day <strong>\"La Guinda del Pastel\", by Marta Jim\u00e9nez, <\/strong>plus the first 3 screenings of the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Saturday 30th, an interpretative outing in avalanche terrain given by ACNA in the morning and, in the afternoon, the eagerly awaited conference by the mountaineer <strong>Denis Urubko<\/strong>who <strong>will tackle his attempt on Gasherbrum <\/strong>and will also be available for a book-signing session in the same cinema. five screenings will close the day, among them <strong>Chronoception<\/strong>the story of a 3-week skiing and snowboarding expedition in the unexplored mountains of Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme will be completed with the screening of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C3DYXVrJXc5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><u><strong>5 audiovisual works<\/strong><\/u><\/a> related to extreme sports, travel, adventure and nature. Highlights include <strong>Soundscape<\/strong>The short adaptive climbing film, which received the BANFF's own Creative Excellence Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the stop in Vielha is over, the <strong>BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour intends to extend the tour<\/strong> beyond the Pyrenees with new venues which, when confirmed, will be announced through the festival's official channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travesiapirenaica.com\/en\/the-spanish-tour-of-the-banff-mountain-film-festival-kicks-off\/\">The BANFF Mountain Film Festival is the international festival of reference in mountain, adventure and extreme sport films that takes place annually. <\/a>-since 1976 - at the Banff Centre in Alberta (Canada). Once completed, it travels the world with the BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour, which tours dozens of countries and accumulates thousands of screenings. In 2016 it came to Spain for the first time, where it is accompanied by a programme of activities related to the mountain world in what is a complete cultural and sporting programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tour in Spain is made possible thanks to the support of the Canadian Embassy in Spain, the town councils of Jaca, Benasque, Castej\u00f3n de Sos and Vielha e Mijaran, as well as the Conselh Generau d'Aran. Also to the sponsorship of Leatherman, Bestard, Osso, Sinner, Mammut, Indoorwall Jaca, Cinerama, Inturmark Hotels and Sommos Hotels.
