{"id":6334,"date":"2017-02-13T19:37:50","date_gmt":"2017-02-13T18:37:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/travesiapirenaica.com\/?p=6334"},"modified":"2019-01-21T19:07:50","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T18:07:50","slug":"pacino-peak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/travesiapirenaica.com\/en\/pico-pacino\/","title":{"rendered":"Climb to Pico Pacino"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The journey to the <strong>Pico Pacino<\/strong> is a very easy, if curious, climb, and focuses on the <strong>Tena Valley<\/strong>. From this peak you will be able to see marvellous landscapes that will contain, among others, the <strong>Sierra de la Partacua<\/strong>the <strong>Peaks of Hell<\/strong> or the <strong>Foratata<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The climb is really appetising and not at all difficult, with a moderate gradient that becomes less steep as the altitude increases.<\/p>\n<p>In order to get there you will have to start from <strong>Huesca<\/strong>from where you will have to access the A-23 to <strong>Nueno<\/strong>. Once there, you will have to follow <strong>Sabi\u00f1anigo<\/strong> on the N-330, and then turn off towards Sallent de Gallego and Biescas on the N-260. After passing through here, you will have to head towards France on the A-136, passing the Escarrilla tunnel and the fork towards <strong>Sallent de Gallego<\/strong>. You will see a small exit to the left which ends in a small <strong>car park<\/strong>. This will be the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>The route is generally exceptionally well-maintained, with a very respectable width. Several minutes later you will see an exit towards the peak. We will have to follow this path until we can start to see the first beech trees that will surround us. Once you have passed this small forest, you will be able to see how a balancing chimney is transporting water up to the beautiful <strong>Escarra reservoir<\/strong> with its corresponding hydroelectric station.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly afterwards the beech trees will start to surround us again, and we will have to make sure we go along a zigzagging route to the Escarra reservoir. Once at the pass we only have to take the left-hand turn-off that will take us directly upwards. This is the most demanding point, as the gradient will increase.
