{"id":6437,"date":"2017-02-15T17:29:13","date_gmt":"2017-02-15T16:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/travesiapirenaica.com\/?p=6437"},"modified":"2019-01-21T19:07:50","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T18:07:50","slug":"sarsamarcuello-la-pena","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/travesiapirenaica.com\/en\/sarsamarcuello-la-pena\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarsamarcuello - La Pe\u00f1a route"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To begin with, we will have to take an uphill route, the <strong>GR95 and GR 1<\/strong>starting in the<strong> fountain-laundry of Sarsamarcuello<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To avoid the zigzagging of the track, you can find a shortcut in a cabin that has a steeper slope. When we reach the top of the slope, we will take a path that will accompany us along the entire route, coinciding first with a part of the <strong>ornithological route of Mirador de los Buitres<\/strong>. If you go a little further you will also link up with the <strong>Hoya de Huesca Nature Trail<\/strong>. A little further on we will come across a refuge, <strong>the Castle and the Hermitage of the Virgin of Marcuello<\/strong>. If we continue further we will find that the ornithological route continues to the left and we will have to continue straight on.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing along the main road, we will soon arrive at the<strong> Santo Rom\u00e1n pass<\/strong>. It is here that we will be able to see the<strong> entrance to the GR1 route<\/strong>which we will have to take, in order to go to <strong>Riglos<\/strong>. Passing through numerous pine trees, you will eventually come to a junction of forest tracks on your way down this route. We must continue to the left to continue down through a dense pine forest until we reach the <strong>Foz de Escalete<\/strong>. We will once again be part of a <strong>ornithological route, this time the one from La Pe\u00f1a - Foz de Escaletes<\/strong>. When we have finished crossing the gorge, we will change ornithological routes again and link up with the last remaining route: that of the <strong>La Pe\u00f1a reservoir<\/strong>.
