Since the rope will pass through these carabiners, you need models that provide enough surface area for the rope to slide through. Carabiner type carabiners <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2XnJtIw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Metolius Element Key Lock<\/a> are a good choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, at the belay you may need carabiners to attach to the anchors (in sport, you will usually find fixed carabiners at the belay). Generally these will be threaded safety carabiners, but the size does not need to be as large as the previous ones.
