Encore moins une montagne. Encore moins celle-l\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout Gavarnie attendait l'arriv\u00e9e de l'homme depuis l'aube, surtout moi, qu'il avait embauch\u00e9 comme mineur. Nous savions seulement qu'il s'agissait d'un aristocrate au nom \u00e9tranger, aventurier et globe-trotter, comme nous l'avait dit Pascal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Que c'\u00e9tait bon pour la ville, que les touristes viendraient, qu'ils quitteraient les thermes de Luz pour venir d\u00e9penser leur argent ici. Ils y croient dur comme fer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'euphorie est retomb\u00e9e lorsqu'un homme est arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 pied au petit matin, saluant et remerciant la r\u00e9ception. C'\u00e9tait l'aristocrate ? \u00c0 pied ? Dans cette tenue ? Seul ? Soutenant son poids \u00e0 l'aide d'une canne ? C'est ridicule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il m'a salu\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re amicale. Il m'a serr\u00e9 la main.
