Sentinel on the rock

I looked down from the valley at that hole in the limestone wall, it must have been at an altitude of 2000m. Whenever I passed by that road, my eyes kept looking for that place. I was so attracted by that formation. Would it be accessible? Not from below. What would be there inside? And I imagined prehistoric scenes...
... It was the third time I had returned to that meadow. The first time, I discovered it. The second time, I showed it to Montse. -Look at this cut, Montse," we went to the edge, "there seems to be a hole in the wall," "Beica, to go down there it's better to use a rope.
And that day, alone, I peered out again, descended slowly, cautiously, perhaps unwisely, and in a matter of minutes I was in there. Stillness. Heartbeats. I looked around me, thirsty to find something. An unexpired tin can, a carafe of water, a mountain of feathers - here lives a big bird, I thought - and as I turned around - grah, grah (squawk) - its dweller arrived.
