Don't stop guiding me
-by Jaione Tejada Arroyo-
I am accompanied by the sunrise, not just any sunrise, but one of those that leave you breathless, one of those that you don't even want to blink at.
I am also accompanied by the mountain, but not just any mountain, but the one that has seen us grow, year after year, season after season.
But, above all, I am accompanied by him, or rather, by his memory, the memory of the man who gave me life, the man who took me to that peak, our peak, for the first time. It was with him that I learned to love nature and all that it gives us: its colours, reliefs, smells, flora, fauna, etc.
The one who held my hand and with that I had everything. The same hand I held during his last breath. There I gave him my promise. That we would keep celebrating every birthday together, him from somewhere, me from here, our mountain. Don't stop guiding me.
