If you still don't know where to go on your next holiday but you want to discover historic sites, enjoy great food and festivals, you might want to go to Huesca.

It may not have a very large population, but its national and international importance for the history it contains is undeniable. If you add to that its particular beauty thanks to its proximity to the Pyrenees, which is why it is nicknamed "the gateway to the Pyrenees".The choice seems to be clear. On top of that, the climate in this area corresponds to the typical Mediterranean climate which is always so pleasant.

It is ironic that the history of this city begins in prehistoric times, more than 6,000 years ago. We will be able to see evidence of human action from the Neolithic revolution to, for example, the Roman Empire, and of course through the different eras of mankind. You will be fascinated by everything that happened in the course of history.

You will be able to see the vestiges of the Visigothic wars, the War of Succession or even the recent Civil War.

If you are ever in this beautiful town, it is recommended that you do not miss the Miguel Servetus Park, the surrounding walls, the beautiful Convent of San Miguel, the great Church of Santa María In Foris, the unusual Town Hall of Huesca, the beautiful Palace of Villahermosa, the Palace of the Climent, the brilliant Palace of the Oña, the Basilica of San Lorenza, the Hermitage of San Jorge, the Sanctuary of Loreto, the Fountain of the Muses and, of course, the great Conference Centre of the city. Nor can we forget the great cathedral which rounds off the destinations in this colourful city.

Nor can we forget what we promised earlier: the food. It is exquisite, and you can always combine it with a good night party, good music and the atmosphere of this beautiful city.
