Kairos
-by Aida Bruy Tuneu-
And there I was, after walking 800 kilometres through the Pyrenees for 36 days, exhausted, sweaty, dirty, hungry, suffering. Some days I had questioned the reason for walking the GR11 alone and until then I didn't know the exact answer. It had been a tough experience, the route had pushed me to the limit. But that last day, when I spotted the Cap de Creus lighthouse, I knew and felt what had led me to undertake this journey and what had made me persist in it. Walking the last kilometres, I realised that, despite the difficulties and adversities, I would do it again, I would walk the Pyrenees, its mountains, valleys, forests and lakes, and that I would want to return to delight in its unique landscapes, to feel that euphoria and freedom that the mountains transmit and that makes us dream.
I arrived at the end of my journey, after 800 kilometres. And there I was, happy.
