Counter-attack

Attack the edge,
breaking records,
conquering the summit,
take away the chain,
take over the track.
It is not being a mountaineer,
is to be a sprinter.

Fighting the rock,
against the clock.
Fighting a blizzard,
egg pulling.
Facing a wall,
cross off tops of a list.

Weathering the storm,
overcoming challenges.
Losing one's life.
Let her play second fiddle,
Fifth plus,
Not that that's not climbing.
Another warmongering past.

That is not My Mountain.

Nor women,
nor the earth,
nor the mountains
are territory of conquest.
