When life becomes a mountain

I saw them. They were suffering on the ascent to the Carriata circus. Their breathing was heavy, their steps short, their pulse high and sweat had already broken out on their shirts and scarves. They walked together, in silence, in single file. Their faces reflected happiness, illusion, love for what they were doing. From time to time they looked back and down, directing their eyes to the valley, to appreciate the
The road already travelled and the height already reached.

No doubt they were used to fighting, it was not their first battle. In order to measure their strength, they made short stops. Short stops, so as not to get cold, to drink and catch their breath.

Daily hospital life, family and friends were far away, taking one more step was the only important thing.

That day, in the Faja Racón, a group of cancer patients were not only fighting to finish the route, but for their lives.
