Impact initiative: an initiative that fights for the protection of the environment
Mountain Hardwear, a brand known worldwide for selling outdoor gear, launched the "Impact Initiative" campaign.. In addition to promoting its products, the company seeks to inspire others to protect the environment.
Every day our planet continues to suffer the negative consequences of pollution. Faced with this situation, many people have become aware and have become active in the implementation of projects to combat the disaster from different areas of action.

Innovation for the world
Using so-called Impact Ambassadors, this initiative differs from others by showcasing a new generation of characters with inspiring stories and conservation projects that make them heroes without capes.
The brand dared to break with the industry's tradition of outdoor retail companies: most rely on well-known athletes and explorers to sell.
Advertising has sought to get people to wear the same boots, backpacks and jackets and visit the shops where the characters they admire go.
Mountain Hardwear decided to sponsor a new crop of athletes selected for their green contributions. In addition to promoting its products, it aims to inspire other athletes to join in protecting the environment.
"Different times call for different heroes". (translated into Spanish as "Different times call for different heroes".) is the slogan of the campaign that continues to reap significant rewards for the environmental cause.
Who are the heroes?
The Impact Initiative - or The Impact Initiativeas it is called in its original language - sponsors 18 athletes and adventurers, although more are expected to be included.
These men and women stand out as conservationists, environmentalists and renowned humanitarians who became brand ambassadors to share their fantastic plans with the world.
The group includes outdoor athletes with outstanding CVs in various professions, such as biologists, photographers, filmmakers, writers and entrepreneurs, among others.
The team members are top athletes, as in most advertising campaigns of similar companies. However, they have an additional contribution: each is implementing an innovative project aimed at protecting and preserving parks and outdoor areas.
The list includes well-known names in various disciplines: Vincent Colliard, Charles Post, Tashi and Nungshi Malik, Chris and Steve Boyes, Freddie Wilkinson, Topher White, Cheyne Lempe, Angie Payne, Sam Cossman, Mike Libecki, Sonya Iverson, Josh Hydeman, Vivian Bruchez, Tim Emmett, Kyra Condie, Garrett Madison, Ryan Robinson and Ethan Pringle.
The projects
The projects developed by the "Impact" Ambassadors are varied. One can mention, for example, one that uses old mobile phones to prevent illegal logging by creating listening apps.
Another project aims to help refugees in the Middle East by means of Slackline, a discipline that consists of balancing on a belt located several metres above the ground.
Mountain Hardwear has set itself the goal of spreading the word about these projects, which perhaps go unnoticed, so that everyone knows about them.
By sponsoring the Ambassadors, it helps these personalities to be recognised for their sporting, but above all for their humanitarian and environmental efforts.
In this way, through advertising, the brand seeks to inspire others to create a collective mission to protect the outdoor spaces that serve as a venue for a myriad of sporting and recreational activities.
