Patagonia's new film The Scale of Hope explores the environment, climbing and the struggle for systemic change.

Patagonia releases The Scale of Hope, an hour-long documentary about Molly Kawahata, an alpine climber and former energy and environment advisor during the Obama presidency.

The magnitude of climate change can make a person feel desperately small, and Molly knows this feeling all too well. She has dedicated her life to taking on seemingly insurmountable challenges. However, it is her personal struggle with mental health that gives her a deep understanding of how to harness the power of the
to create change.

The Scale of Hope follows Molly as she prepares for an expedition in the Alaskan Range, as she works to create a new climate narrative that focuses on her favourite question - What can I do to help? - and a surprising answer. It's a story about struggle, hope, and what it takes to solve the greatest
problem of our time.

Molly says: "For those who can, engaging in sustainable living is great, it's noble. But the only way to really solve the climate crisis is through systemic change. And that's where I think the real power lies for everyone.
