A poisoned ranchera

In Mexico we reach a remote place full of virgin walls over 200 metres high but all of them in the shadow of El Gigante with its 900 metres of verticality.

We stayed in a small village inhabited only by women. We were young, with athletic bodies and a desire to have fun. Gustavo and Andrés, with no ties on the other side of the Atlantic, enjoyed every day of female company, except those we spent climbing, which amounted to ten at the most.

At the farewell, some mariachis or something similar appeared, and with pistols on their belts they dedicated this chorus to us:

"We tell the gringo mountaineers to go back to their homes as they came here; to leave our women and keep the fame of having conquered mountains, otherwise they will end up sharing the land with the shrews.
