Escarra Point
Altitude: 2760m
Situation:
Huesca Pyrenees, between the valleys of Tena and Aragón, accessible from Canfanc Estación or Formigal.
When to go:
From the end of July to mid-October or in the middle of winter with good snow conditions.
Difficulties of the route:
Difficulty is high; there are complicated steps that require climbing equipment; from the Izás pass about 2 hours of ascent.
Complicated sections:
- The ascent route is full of them and can be made difficult by the state of the snow on the snowfields.
Recommended equipment:
- Trekking boots.
- Crampons and ice axe out of season. Roping and climbing equipment.
- Sunglasses and sunscreen.
Fastpacking is not about going faster. It's about going lighter.
