I was determined
-by Javier Torres Gálvez-
Eighty years and you are not here. I must be true to my principles and I set off. Today I have a strange feeling. I leave the garage without bothering to close the door and head for the meadow, like so often.
The night closes in, shadows dance as I pass, cast by the front, and my footsteps make their mark in the icy snow that crunches, breaking the silence of the night and of the moment.
The sunrise draws the shadow of the Soum over the Perdido, and Góriz in sight. It has never taken me so long to overcome these pegs, I am in no hurry either, without stopping, I continue towards my goal so many times imagined.
I always wanted to decide my own destiny, and when the time comes, there is no doubt or fear, only the uncertainty of achieving it.
Spittoon, the light escapes over the top and the night is icy. Sitting on the summit, calm, I no longer feel cold, only peace.
