My dear and beloved mountain
-by Íñigo Mendizabal Arizcun-.
22nd. July. Jaca. The first rays of light slip through the cracks in my blinds. They presage a blue day, undoubtedly inviting me to go into the slopes of my dear and beloved mountain, Peña Oroel.
For many years now I have been unable to resist its call. So, without being able to avoid it, I find myself trapped among its charms, under majestic fir trees and imposing pines. Silence reigns, only being pierced by the gentle breeze of the wind whipping my face.
I ascend engrossed by the magic that surrounds me. The same magic of yesterday and tomorrow. However, I can't get used to it. It is the magic of nature.
I reach the summit. My body touches the sky. There is no gold worth the ascent to this peak, because for GOLD, HIM.
