Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
-by Antonio Gómez-
As Kase.O says, "the sun came through the window". I went out for tea on the terrace of the refuge on a sunny day, accompanied by my friends. 16 hours earlier, I heard the prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr in the middle of a multi-day route, when I injured my knee. There was no worse scenario: rain, cold air, cloudy, no cover, unbearable pain in my knee and still 7km ahead with +500 and -500 metres of elevation gain.
When the helicopter landed in the valley and I saw the French mountain team get out of the helicopter, I was almost in tears with emotion. My adventure partner got on board with me and we both enjoyed an unforgettable trip with the Vignemale in the background, as we left the valley to be transferred to their base. After a 4 hour taxi ride, we rejoined the rest of the group in Spain.
