Infinite love
-by Maite Pariente Aylagas-
I don't know how long I had been in that beautiful place surrounded by the highest mountains in the world. Every awakening was a gift.
I don't know how long I hadn't slept, your loss had changed my life. Every awakening was hell.
I loved having all the time in the world, enjoying the little things and watching mountaineers try to realise their dream, as I used to do.
I hated having all the time in the world to try to wake up from this nightmare. I still didn't understand how mountaineers ventured into these mountains, unaware of the possibility of disappearing into their slopes.
I knew I had my life back when that step, after ten years, gave me the answer and brought you back into my arms at last.
I knew I had lost my life when, after hearing footsteps, my father's embrace filled me with infinite love.
Fastpacking is not about going faster. It's about going lighter.
If you come from classic trekking, this is the next step: learning to move with less weight,
more fluid and enjoying every kilometre more.
