If you visit Montenegro's beaches in summer, you'll find yourself in the midst of the throng of sun-seeking tourists from Eastern Europe. But it's easy to escape the hustle and bustle in the Durmitor and Prokletije mountains, the Biogradska Gora forest and the many places, villages and towns where Montenegrins go about their lives untouched by these waves. These mountains are some of the wildest, most spectacular and least visited in Europe. However, they are easily accessible, and many areas have well-marked trails.
