    Providing an ideal backdrop for the hiker, the boxed-in routes criss-cross through splendid scenery and link up with comfortable mountain huts. In Norway, you will find some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in the world. Unlike many of the alpine areas of Central Europe, these mountains are relatively uncrowded and few roads traverse this remote landscape. You will meet friendly and proud people who will enthusiastically share with you their love for their mountains.

    We will introduce you to some of the most interesting hiking and trekking routes in the main mountainous areas of Norway, from the far south to the subarctic regions. Including Hardangervidda, Aurlandsdalen, Rondane, Jotunheimen, Alvdal Vestfjell, Tafjord, Douvre, Trollheimen, Sylene, Femundsmarka, Jostedalsbreen, Nordvest-Spitsbergen, the Narvik Mountains, Troms Border Trail and Finnsmaksvidda.

    When to go?

    The trekking season is short, from the third week of June to mid-September, when the huts are open. Snow can last until the end of June.

    Bergen, Geilo, Flam, Oppdal, Trondheim and Bodø, Tromsø, Narvik and Alta in the far north.

    Difficulty

    The most difficult routes involve glacier progression. Equipment.

    Not to be missed

    Norway is remote and wild, with wonderful refuges. You have to go to Norway's highest mountain, Galdhøpiggen, at 2469m.
