New card game on climbing and mountaineering
A new mountaineering-themed card game is launched: Cordadas, elbowing your way through the mountains!
summit!
From 2 February until 15 March, the crowdfunding campaign is active, where you can get the game, as well as other rewards and discounts. The campaign
The project aroused public interest and, in only 4 days, reached its initial funding target.
Cordadas is a game for 2 to 6 players, in Galician and Spanish and, although the theme is climbing and mountaineering, anyone can play as it is based on a colour code.
In Cordadas, the player is an intrepid mountaineer or climber who has the objective of reaching the summit carrying all the material she needs to finish her route, which can be classic climbing, sport climbing or mountaineering. Crampons, quickdraws, hammocks, sacafisus... there are different types of material for each route. The rest of the players will try to prevent their opponents from reaching the summit by means of nudging and bad weather cards. Mules, dead men and other cards will help the players to reach their goal.
Its creator, Muki, says that she decided to "unite two of her passions, mountains and games, and develop a climbing and mountaineering card game". The original idea, the drawings and the designs of the 80 cards that make up the game are her own creation.
