About "Rescue
So far, the two confirmed and released seasons of the docuseries "Rescue", they show the work together of the Air Service (SAER) and the Mountain Rescue and Intervention Groups (GREIM) of the Guardia Civil, together with the 061 doctors.
The mountain always has the last word and any mistake or unforeseen event can lead to a dangerous situation. This is how in the first chapter entitled "Blindly" we raises the situation of the rescue of a female mountaineer where poor visibility due to fog prevented her from being located, creating a risky situation for the helicopter crew trying to locate her.
The rescuers are aware that acting in the shortest possible time is a major factor in the success or otherwise of a rescue.. "We were realistic throughout, telling him that we were going to get there but it was going to take time," says one of the rescue team members interviewed for the docuseries.
At the same time, in the different episodes, the following are shown the strategies they use and the elements they need to perform rescues.
In addition to missing persons, the medical teams together with the SAER and the GREIM, injuries of rescued persons must be attended toThe injuries can range from a simple sprain to the worst-case scenario. Time is of the essence, an injury can be aggravated in a few minutes and if it gets dark or the weather changes, reaching the injured person may be impossible.
A Dokumalia production
Although the docuseries "Rescate" is broadcasted by RTVE, the production company to carry out this work has been Dokumalia. A production company that since 2006 has been dedicated to storytelling in extreme contexts. and as they say on their website: "has always been characterised by the careful treatment of the image regardless of the difficulty of the scenario". In "Rescate", the stories of these security forces are narrated along with interviews with those involved, at the same time that the large landscapes where these teams work are shown.
Filming in the settings where the action takes place, allows the viewer to get an idea of the situations they are going through..
His work since 2006 has positioned Dokumalia as one of the main mountain and adventure producers in Spain.. Along with "Rescate", we can find among his productions an endless number of mountain and nature documentaries such as: "Colgados", "El heladero del Himalaya" or "Jugando a escalar".
Going back to "Rescue", a very important thing was to get "reflect the professionalism and human quality of mountain rescue teams". To achieve this, they gave a face to all these people and dedicated a chapter to each of them. Thanks to this, as well as showing the work of the teams, they have also shown the human side of people who are considered heroes, with their fears and worries.
