    Santa Ana Bridge - Lizara

    ↔️ Distance: 12.2 km
    📈 Unevenness (+1.090), (-500) 📉
    🕒 Time: 4h00min (running time non-stop)
    ⚠️ Difficulty: Stage without difficulty.
Notes/suggestions: The 4 hours of this stage make it one of the «rest» stages. Spending the afternoon in the surroundings of Lizara is a good option; you can walk to the Chorrota waterfall or do the small ferrata under the shelter, however, for those who have not yet climbed the summit of Bisaurín it will be difficult to resist leaving the backpacks at the Cuello de lo Foratón and ascending in an hour to the summit (equipped with snow).

📌 (0h0min; 0kms) Santa Ana Bridge (925m). On the road in the Oza valley, take the junction that indicates Gabardito and Borda Bisaltico. After crossing the river (Santa Ana bridge), you continue for about 5′ on the small road before leaving it and taking a left onto a path that climbs among the forest. The climb is direct, with hardly any rest. Along the climb we will cross the road several times before reaching the…

📌 (0h55min; 2.8kms) Gabardito Refuge (1,370m), Located on a large plateau with magnificent views of the Lenito peak. Once we leave it behind, the path enters the pine and beech forest and becomes a trail. We ascend along the right side of the Agüerri ravine; the path approaches the rocks, next to a huge gendarme called «Puntal de los Porquez». Shortly after, a trail gives way to continue towards the bottom of the valley; we now ascend along a series of zigzags that save the rock step; we gain altitude; the forest disappears and the pastures begin to take center stage.

📌 (1h55min; 5.5kms) Plan de Dios te Salve (1,650m). On the left we will find the Refuge Dios Te Salve (acceptable), and later, following the path to Plan d’Aniz, the refuge of the same name. The GR11.1 ascends among meadows until reaching the…

📌 (3h10min; 9kms) The Neck of the Foratón (2.032m). This pass is located under the same Bisaurín (2,670m) (for brave people who want to complete the day). The trail descends in a zigzag fashion down the final ramp of the pass, then continues on more comfortable terrain. We walk on clear terrain, we cross some streams and almost at the end, on the right, we pass by the spring.💧 from Fuenfría.

    📌 (4h00min; 12.2 kms) Lizara Refuge (1,540m).

    • Refugio de Gabardito Behind the Lenito Patrol Post.
    • Above the Agüerri ravine
    • In the Plan of God You Will Be Saved. On the left, snow-capped, the Bisaurín.
