Between sleeping volcanoes and medieval villages. Linking Ripoll, Olot and Girona over a distance of approximately 120 km, this route follows the famous Carrilet greenway. With minimal gradients and well-conditioned paths, it is perfect for those looking for a first bikepacking experience in complete peace and quiet.
The itinerary highlights the Garrotxa Natural Park, with its unique volcanic landscape in Spain, and medieval villages such as Besalú and Sant Joan de les Abadesses, ideal for spending the night and enjoying the local gastronomy in a setting steeped in history and nature.
5. Cross-border Route: the magic of cycling between Cerdanya, Capcir and Conflent (Catalonia-France)
This attractive international route of about 130 km departs from Puigcerdà towards the French valleys of Capcir and Conflent, offering gentle and accessible stages for beginners. The route crosses forests, alpine meadows and small historic villages with a fascinating cultural identity.
