Empuriabrava

Empuriabrava is also called the Venice of Spain The town has more than 30 kilometres of canals in the locality. Most of the houses and flats have their own private jetty. It is located to the north of the province of Girona and surrounded by the Natural Park of the Empordà Marshes, also known as the Golf de Roses and the Parc dels Aiguamolls de L'Empordà.

Tossa de Mar

Pals

The beach of Pals stretches for about 3.5 kilometres and is divided into two parts, known as Playa Gran and Playa del Grau. This beach owes its beauty to the pine woods, dunes and impressive views of the Medes Islands. It forms part of the Natural Park of Montgrí, the Medes Islands and the Baix Ter, so there are many hiking routes in the vicinity.

The landscape parallel to the beach, with marshes and rice fields, has turned it into a unique natural space. Pals is considered to be one of the best villages of the Girona coast. It is located on the top of a hill and its hull was declared a Site of Historical Interest, as it was built inside a fortress.

Platja d'Aro

Platja d'Aro is one of the villages that attracts the most tourists annually in the coastal area of Girona. It has very attractive hotels and tourist facilities. On its coast you will find a wide variety of beaches with all the services and a variety of water activities.

One of the main beaches is Platja Gran, if you prefer a long and comfortable beach, with fine sand, easy access, offering all services and close to the centre of Platja d'Aro. Another beautiful spot is Cala Rovira, where you can enjoy its spectacular waters and sunbathe as much as you like.

Cadaqués

Cadaqués is one of those small villages in the Girona coast where you can see little white houses and small fishing boats. It is a wine-producing town, so it is possible to enjoy a good wine while admiring the sunset. It was home to the artist Salvador Dalí and it is advisable to visit the Dalí Museum in his former home.

The town of Cadaqués is the right place to start an excursion to the Cap de Creus nature reserve. This area is located at the foot of the Pyrenees and has many bays. In them, there are a series of coves and beaches, some of them practically virgin, which is demonstrated by the purity and quality of their waters.
