    The route offers an infinite number of charms, from the scenery to the exuberant historical heritage.

    The Xacobean route known as Primitive Way represents the real essences of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, to the point that it is considered to be the original route and therefore older, which explains its name.

    The Primitive Way is also known as the Inner Route of the Pilgrims' Route to Santiago de Compostela through the North and the Way of Oviedo. It starts from the very heart of the city, specifically from the main entrance to its cathedraland runs along the length of the Principality until it reaches Lugo.
