Ezkaurre
-by Ramón Serrano Polo
We leave the Ibón de Ezkaurre behind us and start to climb the north wall following the GR-11 signs, little by little, with difficulty, we go up the channel, three companions in front of us and the rest of us from Granada behind. We reach the summit ridge, we have the geodesic post of Ezkaurre in sight and we arrive there sweating, with our hearts pounding, our heart rate drops, and calmness comes to my body. A part of the Trans-Pyrenees Crossing is finished.
Every time I walk along your paths, your mountains, every time I drink from your rivers, every time I feel your air and your clouds, I leave a little piece of my heart. But in exchange, Pyrenees, you give me a backpack full of illusion, fantasy, memories and love, love for Nature, for everything you have let me see and feel, illusion to come back next year and leave you another little piece of my heart.
