Komoot app
The Komoot app is ideal for exploring new places and finding new ways to reach your destination. It is very easy to use, offers offline maps and voice-guided navigation, among other functions. Read on to find out more about this tool.
What is Komoot. Features
Komoot is the most widely used app for planning cycling and hiking routes and navigating through nature. It is also a virtual meeting point for cycling, hiking and running enthusiasts.
It is characterised by its route design, as it is useful in the planning of personalised routes for each sport with topographic data. To create the route you must choose the type of road you want to ride (paved roads, narrow paths, quiet roads, among others).
Komoot also has ready-made routes that you can filter by distance, level of difficulty and access by public transport. Its navigation system can work without an Internet connection, as it turns your mobile phone into a GPS device and navigator.
The application allows you to download individual itineraries or complete maps that can be used without the Internet, so you know exactly where you are, even in remote locations.
How much does Komoot cost?
Before purchasing any of its products, the application and the website can be used completely free of charge.
The free region is the first individual region that you can access for free. Here you will have the possibility to test the main functions of the application.
If after testing Komoot, you decide to continue using it, the options you have are:
- The purchase of a package in a single payment.
- Pay the Komoot Premium subscription only once a year.
- You can purchase the individual region at the end of the trial period. The cost will vary depending on the region selected.
The prices of the one-off payment products and Komoot Premium are:
- Multi-regional package. You will have access to several regions in the same area for a cost of 8.99 euros.
- World package. If you need more than 3 multi-region packs, the best option is the world pack which includes all individual regions for a price of 29.99 euros.
- Komoot Premium. This subscription can be annual for 59.99 euros or monthly for 4.99 euros. It contains several exclusive features.

How to use Komoot without an Internet connection
One of the most relevant features of Komoot is to allow you to navigate without an internet connection. If the departure is for an area with a poor connection or you prefer to save mobile data, it is recommended to download the route.
You can download the planned route or the entire region to generate the route. In the first case, you must follow the instructions and in the second case you will see your location on the map at all times.
