French Alps
French Alps

High mountains, spectacular waterfalls, typical Alpine villages and excellent local cuisine, among other activities that we will discover below, make this destination a dream destination that will not leave anyone indifferent. If you are thinking of planning your honeymoon, we suggest visiting the Alps in summer.

The ideal way to enjoy your honeymoon in the Alps is to take a tour of the region's most spectacular villages. Ebooking helps us to find the best place to spend our honeymoon, the French Alps.

  • ChamonixOne of the most famous towns in the French Alps, full of charm and life, at the foot of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe. In the town centre you will find beautiful colourful streets in which to lose yourself, discovering its corners and enjoying the local gastronomy on one of its terraces, with views of Mont Blanc, or an afternoon of shopping. You can also climb up to the Aiguille du Midi, the highest viewpoint in the French Alps and the third highest in the world, reached in 20 minutes by cable car from Chamonix. From there you can enjoy a spectacular view of the French, Italian and Swiss Alps. Once at the top, you can walk along "The Tube" or take a step into the void at the viewpoint "Les pas dans la vide", with a transparent floor and, below you, more than a thousand metres of drop.
  • AnnecyAnnecy, another must-visit village: a spectacular medieval village, with beautiful buildings that will transport you straight back to the Middle Ages. Lake Annecy is a spectacular lake, surrounded by mountains and a large meadow, and considered to be the lake with the cleanest water in the world. You can also take a relaxing boat trip on the lake, offered mainly by "Des Bateaux du lac d'Annecy".
  • Sixt Fer a ChevalAn ideal place for all nature lovers whose municipal area is part of a nature reserve. The highlight of the site is the spectacular Rouget waterfall, where you can take a dip if you wish. It was voted the most beautiful waterfall in France in 2009. As well as discovering a glacial cirque, the Cirque du Fel à Cheval. This is an area surrounded by waterfalls, such as the Pleureuse waterfall, which can be reached via a path from the Chalet du Lignon.
  • A walk along the Mont Blanc trailsIf walking and nature are your thing, you will find spectacular landscapes, as well as different activities to get in touch with nature, including the famous Grand Balcony of the Alps.
  • ArgentiereThe penultimate village in Switzerland, before reaching the French border. With wooden houses in the middle of the mountains.
  • Saint GervaisThe small village is full of charm and there are several restaurants where you can enjoy an alpine menu such as the local cheese fondue or the tarts flambée.

In short, travelling to the French Alps for your honeymoon will not only be a very romantic idea, discovering charming villages and places, but it will also be an experience not to be forgotten.
