Encounters and misunderstandings

My intuition told me I was losing you. Desperate, I remembered how we met.

It was hiking in the mountains. We were both looking to overcome personal challenges. The magic happened as soon as we introduced ourselves to the group of seven of us who were climbing La Maliciosa. On that route we talked a lot, we laughed, we helped each other along the way. I was impressed by your strength, your courage, your generosity. I suggested we meet again. You hesitated for a few seconds before accepting.

A decade has passed since that day. We travelled the world with our rucksacks on our backs. We were silent spectators of an untamed Nature. That must have brought us closer together.

What was it that drove us apart?

I asked you for one last chance, knowing that you would not refuse. We returned to La Maliciosa in the hope of winning you back. Ascending La Barranca I decided to seize the moment. I begged your forgiveness. I acknowledged my mistakes. I declared my most sincere love. Unfortunately, your silence was my answer.
