The route Walker's Haute Route is a world-famous multi-day trekking route that starts at ChamonixFrance, close to the Mont Blanc massif and ends at ZermattSwitzerland, where the Matterhorn towers above.

This is a magnificent trail, which, with the support of the huts and shelters at the end of each stage, allows you to explore the wildest glaciers and valleys of the Alps.

There is not a single trail that takes hikers between the two mountains, but a network of trails that offer 13 main route variations with a total distance ranging from from 174 km to 227 km. Depending on the route you decide to take, the pace and the desired number of hours of walking per day, it can take 6 to 15 days to complete the Haute Route. Regardless of the route chosen, hikers must cross 11 mountain passes and achieve between 21,000 and 28,000 metres of total height difference (ascent + descent).
