Sierra Nevada watershed

Sulayr Path (Polarda Refuge) to Sulayr Path (Rinconada Nigüelas)

Unexpected calls in the middle of a winter afternoon.
Ideas dreamt up, just by a couple of fools.
A perfect line drawn on a plane.
Alone, two friends, almost brothers.

West to East was the course,
following the watershed.
From sunrise to sunset was the estimate.
Slate summits on the heights,
lights and shadows on a dreamed horizon.

The Sulayr Path was the chosen start,
at 18:00, before sunset, the appointed time.
The setting sun would guide us.
Once the Chullo was crowned, the night accompanied us.
under a blanket of stars, moonless, walking.

Pinkish and orange tones,
behind our backs, the sun was rising
Alcazaba, Mulhacén and Veleta were crowned.
In the distance, the end was in sight,
Tajos de la Virgen, Cartujo and Caballo, the most desirable.

Divisoria de Aguas de Sierra Nevada.
On the Sulayr Path the initiated,
after 11 p.m,
we had finished it.
