We continue with the publication of the micro-stories of the second edition of the competition: High Altitude StoriesWe leave you to enjoy "La montaña", by María de la Luz Hernández Ochoa.

The mountain

There is a couple lost in the mountains, their GPS is not working, they are in danger, when they realise they are in danger they declare their feelings, they promise each other to trust in life, if they manage to get out.

They take refuge on the edge of a giant rock, waiting for the sunrise on the mountain, while enjoying the starry sky that serves as a blanket.

At dawn they set off on their hike to discover the beauty of the mountain, amidst the birdsong and the wind blowing, they take a break, rethinking whether to return to their home village or swear to love each other and stay and live in the mountain that taught them love.

After walking they find a stream of warm water, where they and the sky are reflected, without getting into nostalgia they admire from the top the city at their feet.
