This place is very famous for the Zubigainekoa dance, which takes place during the patron saint festivities in honor of San Fermín. On July 7, the ezpatadantzaris, riding on the river rafts, dance the Zubigainekoa, in memory of the peace that was signed in the XV century between the neighborhoods of the Villa. Subsequently, the flag is flown over the bridge to the sound of Tantirumairu.
Continue straight ahead until the next bridge and turn left -at the end you will see the church of San Martín, which you have to pass through. Continue until a crossroad, go down the street on the left and then turn right at the next two intersections. The GR11 goes up a narrow alley that takes us under the church of San Martín and takes us out of Lesaka through the cemetery area. We will continue up the concrete path until, about 200m from the cemetery, we take a left turn to go down to the NA-4000 road, near a sawmill. Continue on the road straight ahead for about 300 meters, passing in front of the chapel of Salbatore, before taking a left path that goes down next to a stream.💧 The Bidasoa path.

📌 (2h00min; 8.7kms) Lizaieta Port Road (440m). The path meets the road at the height of a steep hill. We will continue on a gentle ascent towards the Xorilepo pass (472m), where the path meets the GR11 (Stage 2) that comes from Bera. We leave the track and continue on (SE) along a path that descends to «Palomeras Usotegui», a restaurant that we find closed today. We continue along a path (E), we leave some handholds, we pass the Lakain pass (429m) and continue halfway up the slope until we join a wide path (1km from the Lakain pass) under the Navarlatsa pass (mugarri 50), where in 2014, some markings had disappeared due to the felling of trees. We descend along the wide path and pay attention to taking a path that descends 100m to the right. We cross the Argarate river and arrive at the hamlet of Maritonea (several hamlets with a large cattle-breeding facility), where there are a couple of Sources💧 where we can get water. We continue along the track, take a right at 600m and 150m later, leave the track (left) at Orainbetasora (source💧 and snack bar). The GR ascends (S) through comfortable terrain to the Elordi pass (560m) —where it coincides with a pair of archaeological trails that visit the megaliths of Maiko and Zentiñela— and descends turning left (E) to reach the Iraza pass (535m), where it joins a track that continues to the…

Next, we descend to the Also pass (543m), where several paths converge; we cross the pass and descend along the (E) track for about 250m, until we reach a junction to the right.

Crossing the road and climbing up the «Eskisaroi path»; at 1.6kms, take a right turn that winds around Mount Atxuela on the west side and leads to another path that we continue along, skirting Arburu (827m). Throughout this stretch, from the Esquisaroi pass, we can see several bunkers built after the Second World War.
