- Karl Egloff and Tyler Andrews are still in contention for the Everest FKT. The Swiss-Ecuadorian is waiting for his moment after acclimatising and dodging the overcrowding, while the American is already preparing a second attempt after aborting at 7,100m due to wind.(Summits). "It was a great day up to camp 3 (...). At that point we started to see strong winds on the summit, which came earlier than expected, so we decided to turn back," Andrews commented on the networks. The window closes in May... and the clock is unforgiving. A few weeks ago we reviewed both attempts for the best time on a video.
- Benjamin Védrines and Nicolas Jean have crossed the Mont Blanc massif in 3 days, 11 steep descents and more than 40 km without touching civilisation. (Desnivel). They linked peaks such as Mont Blanc (4,809 m), the Aiguille Verte or the Aiguille du Chardonnet, and skied mythical lines such as the Couturier or the Gervasutti. Early morning climbs, freezing cold, ice axes against the ice and even photos with lines drawn from home sent by their friend Mathis Dumas, who watches them through the telescope: mountaineering as an author.
- While Eneko Pou signed a mythical crossing in the Swiss Alps - the high route of the Bernese Oberland - with 5 summits and more than 7,000 m of vertical drop in six days, his brother Iker opened "Euskal Dantza" (8a/310 m) on the wall of Oujad, in Taghia. Two parallel journeys, snow and rock, where the Pou family continue to write their story of adventure, commitment and tireless openness.
- Mitchell Hutchcraft has reached the summit of Everest after an 8-month journey without the use of motorised vehicles. (Desnivel)He swam the English Channel, cycled 12,000 km and ran 875 km to Kathmandu. He completed his adventure with a 360 km trek and the final ascent, with oxygen and Sherpa support. It is without doubt an epic triathlon.
