Hand in hand
-by Lidia Rodríguez García-
Villanúa at dawn, José Antonio and I take the first step of the 8.5km and 2,000m+ that remain to reach the summit.
We are in no hurry, it's summer, the day is long and the day has only just begun.
On the way out, the Güixas cave and on the way the enigmatic dolmens of Güixas and Letranz, to reach the Refugio de La Trapa in time.
After hydrating, we pass through the chains along the Hachar channel and then climb steadily upwards through the loose rocky crag that leads us to the final ridge.
The ascent is hard, the summit impregnable; sweat and words of encouragement. Hand in hand on the climb, step by step on the ridge, we managed to overcome the "Collar".
Breathless, the summit at our feet, Collarada conquered. Faces of satisfaction, pride and joy in our hearts.
The views... immeasurable... they make us dream of other mountains.
