I take a step
-by Íñigo Mendizabal Arizcun-
Tired. Cold. Sore feet. Thirsty.
I take a step. I take another step. I take a third step. I take a breath.
Wet. Shivering. No feeling in my hands. Hungry.
I take a step. I take another step. I stop. I breathe.
Lost. At night. Dizzy. Alone.
I take a step. I stop. I rest. I breathe.
I will always take a step, no matter how small. In life, as in the mountains, it's all about moving forward, each at his own pace.
I will not let myself be defeated, no matter what my reasons are. Maybe, by taking the next step, I will see the sunlight.
