Where to go in Japan

  • Mount Fuji 

Mount Fuji, at 3,776 metres, is undoubtedly the most important Japan's most famous place. This site represents one of the spiritual symbols of the country. Outdoor activities such as hiking are available, especially during the summer. In addition, you can also take boat trips on the main lake at the foot of the mountain or go on guided excursions. You can find different climbing routes, with spectacular views of the surrounding area. 

  • Okinawa 

It is an extensive chain of islands, with coral reefs and beaches characterised by white sand and great natural beauty. A wide range of water sports and activities can be practised here, such as scuba diving and snorkelling. swimming among marine fauna

  • The Sagano Bamboo Forest 

This bamboo forest is located in the city of Kyoto, and is considered the most important of its kind in Japan. You can see different species of bamboo, some of which can reach a height of nearly 20 metres. It is one of the most emblematic places in the country.   • Hokkaido 

Biei Blue Lagoon is one of the most characteristic of Hokkaido and is located in the north of Japan, on the island of Hokkaido. This man-made lagoon is known for the changing colours of its waters, which vary according to the time of year and the amount of light. In the surrounding area you can hiking the volcanoes nearby or visit Shirohige Falls and Daisetsuzan National Park. 

Hokkaido is a "winter" island, and you can also enjoy high-mountain activities such as ski touring (including ski mountaineering), climbing and interesting trekking routes. The best season is between the end of January and the beginning of February. It is also one of the best-known hiking sitesespecially during the summer season. 

  • The Japanese Alps

  • Kumano Kodo 

If you are a hiking lover, you can't miss out on this pilgrimage route. It is made up of different paths that lead to the sanctuaries of Hongu, Nachi and Hayatame. In order to be able to do this route, it is necessary to make a good physical and mental preparation. You can walk just a few of the small routes that make it up. If you don't want to walk, you can use the efficient public transport system.

  • Lake Biwa 

This lake is known for the diversity of bird and fish species that inhabit it and for being one of the most popular tourist sites in the country. The Torii arch is located here. In the surrounding area you can enjoy a variety of sporting activities. 

  • Sea of Seto 

You can cycle along some of the country's cycle routes. The Shimanami Kaido is a route that connects the island of Honshu with another of the country's largest islands, Shikoku. It has a network that has been specially built for bicycle lovers. Through different bridges you can cross smaller islands, which have a spectacular view of the Seto Sea.
