The coastline of the Amalfi Coast is a rugged landscape crowned behind by the Lattari Mountains, and the idyllic islands of Capri and Ischia, a destination for hikers. The rugged southern edge of the Sorrento peninsula, famous for its medieval cliff-top villages, near-vertical vineyards and lemon orchards, is recognised as a World Heritage Site.

Walks explore the Sorrento Peninsula, the Amalfi Coast and the Lattari Mountains, as well as the islands of Capri and Ischia in the Gulf of Naples. The entire area is criss-crossed by ancient bridle paths, pilgrimage routes and goat trails, offering a wide variety of walks, from family strolls to strenuous hikes over terrain ranging from paved paths to green trails on hillsides and rugged volcanic rocks.
