Hello again! 👋 Today I bring you the third chapter of my series on the Pyrenean crossing. We are now in the heart of the Pyrenees, after 15 days of constant walking, always looking towards the Mediterranean and carrying everything we need in a heavy 65L backpack.

In this issue, I venture outside the official route of the GR11 I couldn't resist the temptation to climb some of the peaks when I was so close! And they are not long in coming: the episode begins with the ascent of the Red-legged retrieverThe route starts at the remote hut of Santa Ana, on the Estos Valley.

But the highlight is the climb to the Aneto from CoronasThe route takes you to the top of the Pyrenees and then back to the other side of the mountain range 🗻.

I return to the red and white markers to cross the border with Catalonia and explore Aigüestortes and Sant Mauricias well as the alpine villages of the Pallars: Estaon, Guingueta and Tavascan.
